ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR
ADMISSION
Candidate seeking admission should have passed the two years Pre University Examination or equivalent as recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences with science subjects viz Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
The candidate should have obtained a mininum of forty five percent (45%) of marks in science subjects individually in the qualifying examination, if belonging to a scheduled caste or a scheduled tribe should have obtained not less than forty percent
(40%) of the total marks in science subjects of the qualifying examination.
Completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete this age on or befor 31st December of the year of admission.
Candidate shall be medically fit.

CLASS ROOM & CLINICAL
INSTRUCTION
The prospective students will have theory and practical session every year as stipulated by Rajiv Gandhi University. They will be posted in the respective clinical areas under supervision to incorporate the knowledge in
clinical practice in order to fulfill their curriculum requirements.
ATTENDANCE, PROGRESS AND
CONDUCT
Each student must have a certificate of satisfactory attendance, progress and conduct from the faculty & Principal of the College of Nursing to be eligible for appearing in the University examination.
A minimum of 80% attendance is required in theory and practical separately in each subject. Attendance of 10% may be condoned by the Vice Chancellor on the recommendation of the Principal based on genuinity of the case.
The percentage of attendance in each subject will be submitted to the University at the end of the academic year before University examination.
EXAMINATION At the end of each academic year the Students are expected to take up their examinations conducted by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences during
September and after a gap of 6 months. supplementary exams will be conducted for failures during the month of April.
INTERNAL ASSESSMENT There shall be an internal assessment which follows broadly the principles enunciated by the University in each subject for which 20% of the marks are set apart and these will be added to the final marks in the University examinations. There shall be minimum of
two assignments and three periodical tests in every subject each year to assess the progress of the candidates. There will be a class test conducted by the college in every unit of the subjects.
The internal marks for both the theory & practical which will be sent to the University are based on student’s classroom & clincial performance.
If a candidate fails in an examination, his / her internal assessment shall be assessed again. If she / he is regular student for the second attempt only marks whichever is
14 higher will be considered.
DECLARATION OF CLASS A successful candidate obtaining 75% and more marks in the grand total aggregate in the first attempt shall be declared to have passed these subjects with distinction. A
successful candidate obtaining 60% to 75% in aggregate of total marks in the grand total in the first attempt shall be declared to have passed these subjects with first
class. Successful candidate obtaining 50% and more and less than 60% shall be declared to have passed these subjects with second class and candidate who passes in more than one attempt will be placed in pass class
irrespective of the percentage of marks secured.

The marks obtained by a candidate in the subjects for which class examinations are conducted shall not be considered for award of class or rank.

Ranks shall be declared on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained by a candidate in the University subjects of the course. Only those candidate who have passed all
the subjects of the University examinations in the first attempt shall be eligible for the award of rank.
DECLARATION OF RESULTS CRITERIA FOR PASS
Main Subjects
A candidate is declared to have passed the examination in a subject, if she / he secure 50% of marks in theory and 50% in practical separately. For a pass in theory a candidate has to secure a minimum of 40 marks in the
University conducted written examination and 50% aggregate i.e. marks scored in the University conducted written examination and internal assessment (theory) added together and for a pass in practicals,
candidate has to secure a minimum of 40% of the marks in University conducted practical examination and internal
assessment [practical] added together.
SUBSIDIARY SUBJECT The examination for subsidiary subjects shall be conducted by the respective colleges. For a pass in the subsidiary subjects, a candidate shall secure 35% of the total marks prescribed for the subjects and has to pass
all the subsidiary subjects before appearing 15 for the final year University exams.
